C4 — C4 — General Commercial District

C4 is a New York City commercial district — the “General Commercial District” — established by the NYC Zoning Resolution (§11-122). Purpose (Zoning Resolution §31-00): these districts are designed to promote and protect public health, safety and general welfare. Maximum floor area ratio by C4 district (per Zoning Resolution §33-122, §33-123): FAR across C4 districts ranges from 1.00 to 10.00.
